We currently run two sessions every day from 9.15 a.m. - 11.45 a.m. and 12.45 p.m. –3.15 p.m.
These sessions mirror the morning routine of the reception children in the primary department. Whilst the children have lots of opportunity to learn through play, there are also opportunities for the children to take part in activities, which are more formal: reading, writing and number work sessions as well as covering science, geography and history. In this way the children can become involved in more academic activities if and when they are ready to do so. We cover all six areas of learning: language literacy, communication, mathematics, knowledge and understanding of the world, creative development, physical development and personal, social and emotional development. We follow a specific topic every half term, for example houses, toys, colours etc.
We are able to apply for Government funding for all three and four year olds. If you would like your child to attend full time there will be a supplement to pay.
